Beach #1

We had a great time on vacation at Myrtle Beach this year. I didn't carry my camera around a whole lot, so I have a random assortment of pictures that doesn't really reflect accurately our time there. So I will be posting more pics when I get some pics from others who took more pictures. But for now, here are a few.

Cousins in matching jammies!Playing in the tent (really, waking Grandma up in the tent!). Kathryn decided to do a cool pose for this pic.
At the campground, there are lots of very tame squirrels. This one got a piece of shredded wheat that Kathryn threw to it and ran up the tree to eat it. (Shredded wheat was the snack of choice all week!)
There he is again, hiding behind a beach chair, eating something that one of the kids threw out to him. He actually ate straight out of my hand!
Throwing food to the squirrel.
Jackson is showing Kathryn where he is.
Our set up. Yes, we slept 5 adults and 3 kids in the trailer, and 2 adults in the tent!
Another view...
The kids spent a lot of time in the wagon. They'd ride in it to go down to the beach or the pool, or just to walk around the campground. They also spent a lot of time at our campsite just playing in it!
Kathryn was a big kid and rode her bike everywhere.
A movie star!!
Tired of waiting...
One afternoon we took the kids to Broadway at the Beach, where they had set up the old rides that used to be at the Pavilion. Johnny wanted the kids to be able to ride on the same rides he rode on as a kid. Kathryn wanted to do the big swings and the big boat (that goes way high up in the air, really fast), but we convinced her to stick with the smaller rides.
Jackson got in on the ride action too!
Riding in the boats.
Yes, Jackson stuck his hand over the side and into the water.
Yes, he was tickled with himself about that! And yes, the girl running the ride had to tell him, "Keep your hands inside the boat!" hehe!

More beach pics to come!
